Automated Workflows and Networking in Skool

Welcome to Coffee On Set ☕️

I'm brewing up experience-based insights, & workflows to streamline your video production process. I share what I am using, testing, and learning with readers like you every other week.

If you’re a content creator, video producer, production company, or content agency looking to streamline your processes and connect with like-minded professionals, you’re in the right place.

👋 I’m Rob Ruscher, and this newsletter is all about creating automated workflows, and leveraging AI tools to free up your time to build your business - or take a needed break ☕️.

🎥 My 2 Favorite Automations for Video Production

  • Automated File Organization | Airtable, Google, Frame.io and Zapier
This automation sets up a Google Drive folder structure when a new project is added to Airtable. It places the project folder inside the correct client folder. It then creates buttons in Airtable so I can easily find what I need. It saves me hours and keeps everything organized for each client and project.

  • Automated Client Updates | Airtable, Slack, and Gmail
With this automation, every time a video reaches a new stage in the review process, assigned team members get a notification in Slack with links. Clients receive an automatic update email with links to the latest drafts. It’s seamless and keeps everyone in the loop automatically.

These are just two examples of how automation can transform your workflow and free up more time for creative work - or no work at all 🎉

Lately, I’ve been spending a lot more time in Skool. Why?

  • Learning new skills
  • I’ve met cool people
  • Connected with old friends
  • Landed paid consulting jobs
  • Opportunities for paid collaboratortions

Skool offers a unique space where you can learn niche skills and network with a wide range of people from various industries. It was through Skool that I first learned Airtable. Now I'm creating my own automated systems for video production and sharing those in my own Skool community, Coffee On Set

🚀 Launch of Content Management Basecamp

The Content Management Basecamp (CMBC) was just released in Coffee On Set community. This automated content system is designed specifically for content creators, agencies, and production companies to streamline their workflows using Airtable and Zapier.

This course teaches a basic understanding of automations, databases, and Airtable so you can customize the software to your needs and your project requirements.

This system can help you save hours each week, reduce stress, and organize project assets automatically.

I recently had the chance to work on a project in one of my favorite places in the world—Zion National Park. If you’ve never been, imagine towering red rocks glowing under the sun, shifting colors from vibrant orange to deep purples as the day moves on. It’s a cinematographer’s dream, but, as with any shoot, there’s always more going on behind the scenes than you might expect. Here’s how this latest adventure played out and what I learned along the way. The Project I was hired as the...
